A select round-up of transfer news relating to Arsenal, including Mesut Ozil, Josuha Guilavogui and Geoffrey Kongdogbia
Arsenal's pursuit of Mesut Ozil seems to be at an end after the Real Madrid midfielder stated his intention to stay at the club this season, rejecting reported interest from the Gunners and Manchester United.
There was some hope that the German midfielder would be leaving Spain this summer but has quashed all those reports with an emphatic statement at a sponsors event.
Another reported target, Sevilla midfielder Geoffrey Kongdogbia, looks to be on his way to French side Monaco after the Ligue 1 side triggered his release clause. The 20-year old had previously been linked with a number of European clubs including Real Madrid and Juventus.
If Arsenal should fail to secure the transfer of Yohan Cabaye then they have identified an alternative in St Etienne midfielder Josuha Guilavogui. The 22-year old had been targeted by Newcastle when they bought Cabaye, he has two caps for France.
The club will have to work fast if they want any new signings for Sunday's clash against fierce rivals, the players have to be registered by noon Friday in order to be eligible to play in the this round of Premier League games.
