All the latest Tottenham Hotspur news and gossip.
It's all happening at Tottenham... Winger Erik Lamela is poised to complete his transfer from Roma to Spurs, after the two clubs agreed a £30 million fee. The figure is broken down as £25 million up front and £5 million in bonuses. The young Argentine winger scored 15 goals in Serie A last season. Roma have announced the deal, and the winger is set to undergo a medical within the next 24 hours.
This naturally leads onto questions regarding Gareth Bale, with the winger again failing to turn up to training, the second day in a row. Manager Andre Villas-Boas has criticised the player's behaviour, but accepted publicly for the first time the winger is likely to leave for a world record fee.
He said: "It is a dream move for him but I think in the end this could have happened in a different way. At the moment, the two clubs are speaking. I suppose it could go to the last day or it could happen in next two days. But you wouldn't expect the biggest transfer in world football to happen easily."
A deal for defender Vlad Chiriches is claimed to be imminent. The Romanian centre-back is said to have a medical scheduled for Thursday, and a deal could even be announced thereafter.
A second potential deal involved Spurs in touch with Ajax over Christian Eriksen, with SkySports claiming they have been given permission by Ajax to speak to the Dane.
Andre Villas-Boas has said he wants his side to finish the job professionally in their Europa League qualifier against Dinamo Tbilisi, already holding a comfortable 5-0 lead from the away leg.
He hinted it could be a chance for younger players to get involved, and seize their opportunities; "We want to give a chance to a couple of them and include them in the squad. I think we can hopefully thrown them into the game if it goes our way, but the most important thing is to ensure that we are there for the group stage."
And finally, on loan Alex Pritchard scored for Swindon Town last night as they knocked former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp's QPR side out of the League Cup in the second round.
