Arsenal fans are not impressed that Tottenham continue to strengthen while they flounder in the race for new additions.
If the Premier League was decided on ambition alone, few could argue Tottenham would not be prime contenders.
Despite the much-discussed potential sale of star player Gareth Bale, which Andre Villas-Boas concedes is likely to happen any day now, Spurs have continued to strengthen.
They have followed the Atletico Madrid model of replacing a superstar with another, with the addition of Erik Lamela on the wing. The summer Atletico sold Sergio Aguero to Manchester City, they went out and broke their transfer record to sign Falcao. Upon selling the Colombian, they snapped up David Villa and Leo Baptistao and could yet add more.
Lamela is not the only addition made at Tottenham, they have already broken their transfer record twice previously this summer- signing Brazilian international Paulinho, and Spanish goalscorer Roberto Soldado - who has four goals in all competitions from three games already.
On top of that they have bought Etienne Capoue, a defensive midfielder who Arsenal bid for in January, while the Gunners have only added one French teenager from Ligue Two in Yaya Sanogo.
In a summer where Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis has promised star names and none have arrived, it is especially galling for Arsenal supporters to see their rivals act so ruthlessly in the market.
Even with Bale outgoing, Gooners can hardly take much comfort. Arsenal saw players like Robin van Persie and Alex Song depart last summer, but replacements are yet to be bought for either.
Spurs are linked even with signing further additions, with Christian Eriksen and Vlad Chiriches the names most recently and prominently linked.
Arsenal need no reminded of the club's failure to add fresh faces, but the busy activity of their North London rivals ahead of the upcoming derby on Sunday only highlights their frustrations, with just days left until the transfer window closes.
So when sale of Lamela was announced by Roma on Wednesday afternoon, on social networks there were just as many Arsenal fans bemoaning the deal as Spurs fans toasting it.
Here is a selection of comments from unhappy supporters:

Are Arsenal fans right to feel this way? Who do they need to sign to re-address the balance?
