Developer also lets slip TV cop show-mocking trailer.
Gamers who get their hands on a special or collector’s edition of Grand Theft Auto V when it releases next month have been promised a bevy of exclusive toys to play with in-game.
Both special and collector’s editions will include additional weapons that won’t be included in the standard release, the .50 Caliber Pistol and the Ballpup Shotgun.
“You'll also have access to the Hammer, which acts as a brutal melee weapon,” explained the company.
Additionally, both sets will include a 20 per cent discount on outfits, tattoos and other customisable features. The special and collector’s editions also come with one exclusive outfit each, one article of clothing and a special haircut, facial hair look or tattoo.
The game’s new character creation mode, in which you design the two parents and let the resulting merger decide what you look like, also offers up some exclusive goodies for purchasers of the collector’s edition.
“As part of the Collector’s Edition package, you'll get Niko Bellic, along with both Claude and Misty from Grand Theft Auto III to use as parent options within the character creation system,” read a statement from RockStar Games.
There are also a range of additional vehicles such as the Hotknife 1930’s style hot-rod and the Khamelion and electric car.
RockStar also released a new mockumentary-style trailer that apes the many reality TV cop shows in the states, charting the seedy underworld of Los Santos.
