Stoke City bound Agudelo hits brace in 5-1 MLS thrashing

Juan Agudelo

Soon-to-be Stoke player Juan Agudelo is in fine form over in America.

Earlier this month it was announced that American starlet Juan Agudelo had agreed a switch to sign for Stoke City.

The bad news for Mark Hughes' outfit is that Agudelo will not arrive at the Britannia until January 1, at which point his MLS contract will have expired.

The pre-contract agreement for the 17-time capped US international has though indeed been signed, and in the meantime Agudelo is busy enjoying his last taste of Major League Soccer in his homeland.

And he is in fine form, netting six goals in six matches for New England Revolution so far this campaign.

Two of those strikes came in a superb 5-1 thrashing of Philadelphia Union, with Agudelo scoring the second and fifth of the match.

But neither were quite in the same league as an amazing flick he scored a week earlier against Chicago Fire.

If you haven't seen it, now is the time to check it out...

Stoke fans, are you excited about the new addition?
