Liverpool transfer news: Reds line up Moses loan, deals for defenders back on?

A round up of the latest transfer stories connected to Liverpool.

Some online sources have suggested that Liverpool will look to sign Chelsea forward Victor Moses on loan for the rest of the season.

After adding Aly Cissokho to the Liverpool squad, Brendan Rodgers is now reportedly keen to make an attacking signing and the Chelsea man could be tempted by a temporary switch to Anfield by the prospect of regular football.

Liverpool missed out on signing Brazilian Willian from Anzhi Makhachkala after Chelsea confirmed a deal for the forward.

The Mirror has opened up some old wounds, reporting that Barcelona are going to have another look at the possibility of signing Daniel Agger.

The Danish defender has said he will never leave his current club unless they want to sell him and links with Barcelona have persisted this summer.

If it’s a deal which does happen then the same report suggests Liverpool are keeping one eye on the future of Belgian defender Toby Alderweireld.

Another possible signing could be Sporting Lisbon’s Tiago Ilori, another player the club have been linked with heavily this summer.

The Daily Star has suggested that the Reds will go back with one final offer to try and sign the youngster, thought to be above the £3 million offer the club had rejected earlier this summer.

Sporting Lisbon’s valuation is reportedly around the £5-6 million mark.
