Transfer talk: Featuring Mata, Odemwingie and Krul

Transfer news from Chelsea, Manchester United, Stoke City, West Bromwich Albion, Cardiff City, Manchester City, Newcastle United and Arsenal.

Chelsea have finalised a deal to sign Willian from Anzhi Makhachkala. A work permit hearing on Wednesday will be the final stumbling block ahead of a deal, believed to be worth in the region of £30 million.

"Chelsea Football Club can confirm an agreement has been reached with both Willian and his club Anzhi Makhachkala for the transfer of the Brazilian player.

"The transfer is subject to a work permit hearing on Wednesday."

But he will not be the only Anzhi player arriving at Stamford Bridge this week, according to several reports today.

They suggest that a move for Samuel Eto’o is also in the reckoning.

Alan Pardew wants an end to the turmoil over Yohan Cabaye’s future. It comes amid heavy interest from Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain - and after the player refused to play against West Ham United in the Premier League yesterday.

But Cabaye is not the only Newcastle player linked with a move to Arsenal - as reports this morning suggest that The Gunners are ready to make a move for Dutch international Tim Krul as a solution to their goalkeeping conundrum.

Cristiano Ronaldo has told Manchester United he does want to return to the club, one day.

The Portuguese has been linked with moves away from Real Madrid this summer, but it is believed he will not be going anywhere this summer.

Juan Mata is being linked with plenty of moves away from Chelsea today in the wake of the Willian signing. It is believed that Arsenal are the front-runners for his signature, along with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.

Stoke City are being linked with a pair of strikers this weekend. It is believed the club are looking at both John Guidetti of Manchester City and Peter Odemwingie of West Brom - as a deal for Hannover striker Mame Diouf looks dead.

But Stoke may have to do battle with Cardiff City and Swansea City - who are both said to be chasing the Nigerian forward this weekend.
