I am casting my eye back to this exact day, the 24th August 2013, but a year earlier
What were the main transfer tales from that day? What big events were happening in Premier League football?
Manchester United signed Alex Buttner, Everton confirmed Mirallas while Manchester City and Southampton played out a blinder... but here are some of the big scoops from the 24th August 2012.
Chelsea completed the signing of Victor Moses 12 months ago today, but they also snapped up Spanish full-back Cesar Azpilicueta from Marseille.
The attacking right-back was signed for a fee in the region of £7 million from the French side - and went on to have an excellent first season at the club. He played 48 games in 2012-13 and is now looking for a similar season under the tutelage of Jose Mourinho.
But perhaps the best Azpilicueta tale from last season is his nickname among the Chelsea dressing room - Dave, as the players could not pronounce his name.
Walcott or Wal-not
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was talking about the future of Theo Walcott. This time last year Walcott was approaching the end of his contract with Arsenal FC - and that was looking like as long as he was willing to stay.
But Wenger stated he was certain about Walcott’s future - although his sentiment was not shared, with many believing Walcott could be on his way to Liverpool, Manchester City or any other interested party.
In the end Walcott did sign a new deal, but he made the fans sweat.
He signed the new deal on the 18th January 2013.
Our man Clint
Fulham were unhappy with the public pursuit of their star player, and the fact his signing was even announced online.
In the end however, Dempsey joined Tottenham Hotspur on Transfer Deadline Day.
