Everbright president resigns after erroneous orders

Xu Haoming has stepped down; shares have consequently fallen.

Bloomberg News reports that Xu Haoming resigned as president of Everbright Securities, the brokerage that roiled Chinese stock markets last week with erroneous buy orders.

Shares in the brokerage will be suspended for the afternoon session in Shanghai and will resume tomorrow.

Bloomberg News also reports that, as a consequence of the company's president resigning, Everbright's shares fell to a two-month low. It fell 1.1% in that period.
