Hull City v Norwich City Preview: Both sides search for first win

Odds: Hull City 6/4, Draw 12/5, Norwich City 21/10

Last meeting: Hull City 1-1 Norwich City – KC Stadium, 19th March 2011

The last time these two sides met they were both in the Championship and they now get to meet in the top tier of English football. After a busy summer for Norwich they had a good start to the season getting a draw at home to Everton.

Some of their new signings have had an instant impact; Ricky van Wolfswinkel who signed from Sporting Lisbon in the summer scored on his debut last weekend. Manager Chris Hughton will be hoping that the Dutchman can keep his good form going.

Hull City had a tough time at Stamford Bridge as they lost quite comfortably to Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea, it was a tough start to the season for the newly promoted side and they never went into the game expecting to take anything from it.

This will be a game that Steve Bruce has targeted to pick up points in, especially as it is at home. If they want to survive this season then their home form will be crucial.

I expect the Canaries will have too much quality for Hull and they will win a tight affair, an improvement from both sides on their first game of the season but still not enough for Hull, the home fans will go home disappointed.
