Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny put his body on the line against Fenerbahce, determined to keep a clean sheet.
He had received plenty of criticism after the weekend loss to Aston Villa, as had the whole Arsenal squad, but answered it in the best way possible with a committed performance.
It was illustrated none more so than diving at the feet of striker Moussa Sow midway through the second half, before being caught by the attacker's studs.
Szczesny appeared to scream in pain, before being treated by the medical staff and was able to continue, and pull off a number of late saves to keep the scoreline down.
But he was certainly left with a battle scar of the incident, and you can see the injury to his neck below:
