Arsenal have all but sealed their passage to the Champions League group stages, with Fenerbahce requiring a miracle 4-0 win at the Emirates to overturn their deficit.
It will mean the Gunners can relax a little, take stock, and address some of the criticism which came their way after the loss to Aston Villa.
It centred on the fact Arsenal are yet to pay a fee for a player in the transfer market this summer, and post-match, Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson urged the club to get moving.
A former Arsenal star, Merson recommended the Gunners re-ignite their interest in Luis Suarez, despite having a bid of £40 million plus £1 knocked back earlier this summer.
Suarez has yet to comment publicly on his future since his interview claiming he wanted a move, but he is back training with the Liverpool first team hinting the differences have now been resolved, for now at least.
Merson said: "Arsenal should pay £20 million extra for Suarez to get the job done. Pay £60 million.
"He's worth £60 million, he's one of the best five to 10 players in world football in my opinion."
His recommendations won't be well received on Merseyside, and it would take quite a leap for Arsenal to pay that sort of money, almost four times their record transfer fee.
But perhaps we should not be surprised if Arsenal make one last enquiry regarding Suarez despite Liverpool's 'not for sale' message, now they have seemingly secured Champions League football for another season.
What do you think of Merson's comments?
