Earlier this week we asked if Aaron Ramsey was finally recapturing the glowing form he showed before his injury, and against Fenerbahce he demonstrated just how good he can be.
He scored Arsenal's second goal of the game, a shot from outside the area which goalkeeper Volkan Demirel got a hand to but could not prevent finding the net.
Ramsey was just one of several standout Arsenal performers against the Turkish side, building on Arsene Wenger's pre-season boast that the Welsh international can be a 'key player' this coming season.
To get a feel of just how good he was, we took a look at his display from both a statistical and an anecdotal point of view.
Ramsey completed five successful tackles, more than any other Arsenal player - the nearest being Tomas Rosicky with two.
He also made three interceptions, more than any teammate, with Rosicky and Wilshere making two each.
Ramsey also made three effective clearances, with only Per Mertesacker (6) making more.
His passing statistics reveal that he made more passes than any other Arsenal player on the night (79), completing 86 per cent of them.
Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla completed 90 per cent of their passes, but made just 48 and 59 respectively.
Ramsey also made two key passes, leading to goalscoring opportunities, with only Jack Wilshere making more.
He had two shots on goal, scoring with the one and only effort which was on target. He also covered more ground than any other player on the pitch, 12 kilometres in total.
All round it was a very effective performance from the 22-year-old, which certainly impressed watching supporters too.
Here is what several had to say on Twitter:
