Arsenal fan Piers Morgan claims Arsenal need Tottenham's negotiator in chief in charge of transfer at the Emirates.
A throwaway comment perhaps, but one with real venom behind it directed at the Arsenal board.
For the thought of Arsenal being jealous of Tottenham is not an easy one to contend with for any Gooner.
But is there one Arsenal fan who would genuinely not swap their own summer transfer business for Tottenham's?
While Spurs may or may not still sell their best player in Gareth Bale, they have been buying top players from around Europe to strengthen the whole side.
Defensive midfielder Etienne Capoue is a player Arsenal reportedly bid for on deadline day in January, while prolific La Liga striker and Spain international Roberto Soldado has a goal return that the Gunners' only signing, 20-year-old Yaya Sanogo can only at this point dream of achieving.
With Spurs on the brink of adding Brazilian attacker Willian to their side, the bookies will be slashing the odds on Spurs beating Arsenal to a top four place, after so narrowly missing out last year.
The two differing summers has left Arsenal fan Piers Morgan wishing the club could have Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy in charge, rather than highly paid chief executive Ivan Gazidis, who this summer has promised the earth but delivered tantamount to nothing.
Spurs are leaving us for dead in this transfer window. Maybe we should just sign Daniel Levy and be done with it. #afc— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) August 20, 2013
