Brendan Rodgers has claimed that the Luis Suarez transfer saga is over and the club are moving on.

Suarez was very public with his desire to leave the club this summer, with Arsenal seeing two bids for the striker rejected with a third never materialising.

“The only thing I will say about Luis is that I am very satisfied how everything has been resolved — and now we can move on. He is a part of this team and this club,” said Rodgers.

Liverpool may have to up their bid for exciting young Brazilian Willian if they don’t want to miss out to Tottenham Hotspur.

Reports yesterday suggested that Spurs were looking to get one over on Liverpool, going above their heads with a bigger offer for the player.

However, Liverpool’s initial offer of £25-26 million could be improved to £28-30 million in an attempt to prevent Spurs from getting the player ahead of themselves.

Aly Cissokho is set to complete his move to Liverpool after undergoing a medical.

The Valencia defender is set to complete a loan move for the season, which will see him come in as cover for Jose Enrique at left back.

Brendan Rodgers is also thought to still be keen on a deal for Tiago Ilori of Sporting Lisbon as he seeks to improve the Liverpool squad before the close of the transfer window at the start of next month.
