Kazakhstani woman tells Celtic fans to 'learn how to lose with dignity'

Celtic Champions League

Celtic suffered a shock Champions League loss to surprise package Shakhter Karagandy.

A sheep was sacrificed on the pitch ahead of Celtic's Champions League clash in Kazaskhstan as part of a ritual before kick-off; and the Scots fared little better over the 90 minutes.

Shakhter Karagandy had already pulled off a surprise by reaching the third qualifying round, beating BATE Borisov featuring former Arsenal star Aleksandr Hleb along the way.

Celtic lost the game 2-0, to the shock of many observers, leaving them with a huge task ahead of the return leg in a week's time, and little margin for error.

Supporters were stunned by the loss, seeing their side on the brink of failing to qualify for a competition in which they defeated Barcelona last season as they reached the last 16.

Upset and angry fans were very vocal in reaction to the defeat to the relative minnows, in some ways taking away from the huge achievement of the home side.

One Kazakhstani lady took exception to comments belittling the country, and vented her frustration on Twitter, asking fans to become 'better losers.'

She went onto correct a Scottish fan who tweeted the Kazazkhstani national anthem as the Borat mickey-take from the infamous movie, pointing him in direction of the real one.

Shakhter Karagandy's journey may yet come to an end in a week's time in Scotland, but along the way they are slowly raising greater cultural awareness of their nation, and will one day perhaps emerge from the shadow of the film which has plagued the country's reputation.

Can Celtic turn the game around? What do you think?
