With a crisis of injuries in the midfield Arsenal are looking for new signings in that area to alleviate some of the issues in that partricular area of the squad. Yohan Cabaye has been identified as a potential signing with the London club tabling a bid in the region of £12m on Sunday.
Newcastle saw that as an unacceptable offer but it is expected that Arsene Wenger and Arsenal will return with an improved offer in the near future.
Juventus' Paul Pogba, formerly of Manchester United, is another reported target for the Gunners as they look to strengthen the depth of their squad.

The Gunners have been rumoured to be interested in a new goalkeeper, Wojiech Szczesny has had a string of below par performances. The Stoke ‘keeper had an excellent performance at the weekend at Anfield and would welcome the chance of a move.
