Transfer talk: Featuring Damiao, Osvaldo and Cardozo

Leandro Damiao V S Korea

Transfer news involving Southampton, Liverpool, Arsenal, Swansea, West Ham, Chelsea, Manchester United, Wigan, Everton and Spurs.

Everton could decide to cash in on Marouane Fellaini this summer, in order to spend £15 million on Wigan Athletic dynamo James McCarthy. The Irish international is a target for many clubs this summer, but The Toffees are believed to hold the advantage due to the presence of his former Wigan boss Martinez. Manchester United are said to be keen on Fellaini, and it appears a deal that could benefit all parties.

Spurs and Southampton are still at loggerheads in attempting to bring Pablo Osvaldo to their respected club. The AS Roma forward is transfer-listed in the Italian capital after his bad behaviour last term put him in the bad books of the clubs Ultras. A deal worth £17.5 million is on the cards for one of the sides.

Swansea City want £25 million if anybody wants to snap up Michu this summer. Arsenal have recently been linked with his signature - but it is understood and agreement in his recently signed new deal would mean any prospective buyer paying £23 million more than The Swans did 12 months ago for the Spaniard.

Liverpool will reportedly become the third team to enter the race for Brazilian striker Leandro Damiao this season. Tottenham and Southampton have both previously held an interest in the player, but baulked at his price tag. However Liverpool still have money to spend and the Brazilian goal-machine could add even more fire-power to Liverpool’s frightening front-line.

West Ham may make a move for Benfica forward Oscar Cardozo. The Paraguayan is available at Portuguese outfit SL Benfica - as he seeks a new challenge. However moves to Turkey and Russia have collapsed, leaving the clinical marksman without potential suitors. The Hammers would however have to accommodate his sizeable wages.

Wayne Rooney has reportedly accepted the fact he is to be a Manchester United player for this season at least. He is said to have realised that he will not be sold to Chelsea, or anyone else this summer, and has therefore decided to put his head down and get to work.
