Stamford Bridge is sure to be buzzing this afternoon for Jose Mourinho’s (second) first game as Chelsea boss. The returning Special One…or Happy One…or whatever he is calling himself these days…has adopted a squad of considerable quality; while his summer additions have been smart rather than wholesale.
Expect Andre Schurrle to play a huge part in whatever success Mourinho inspires, while much will be expected of Eden Hazard in his second season at the club, and the returning Romelu Lukaku.
Many will see this afternoon’s match as something of a cake-walk for the home side. But Hull impressed last season with their style of play and ability on the counter-attack, and Steve Bruce has spent well so far.
This afternoon will see debuts for a number of new additions and it is how these new players ultimately perform that will determine what lies ahead.
What is your prediction for the game?
