PICTURE: Tragic Christian Benitez mixed up with Benteke in newspaper error

Ahead of Arsenal's clash with Aston Villa, one of the local papers in the Midlands made what can only be described as a 'right cock-up', inserting the name of a former Birmingham City striker instead.

Everybody makes mistakes, but this one could be best described as... 'unfortunate.'

In previewing the upcoming Arsenal v Aston Villa game, the Birmingham Mail managed to confused star Villa striker Christian Benteke with Christian Benitez.

Ecuadorian Benitez died suddenly at the age of 27 just weeks ago, to the shock of the football world.

Yet the Mail were busy asking how he might get on against Per Mertesacker this weekend?

It might not have been so bad had Benitez' name been in both the headline and the introduction, but in their graphic they did at least get the name Benteke right and include the correct photo.
