PICTURE: Ad van outside Old Trafford pushes Rooney to Chelsea move

Wayne Rooney has been encouraged to switch to Chelsea, in a drive-past advertisement stunt right outside Manchester United's home.

Wayne Rooney appeared for England last night, but ITV studio pundit and United manager still could not guarantee the Red Devils would select him even before the end of the month.

Rooney is said to have been privately pushing for a transfer to Premier League rivals Chelsea, where he would play under Jose Mourinho, but United are adamant he is not for sale.

One property firm has taken advantage of the situation by hosting a publicity stunt which involved one of their vans driving past Old Trafford with a banner stating: 'Looking for a home in West London, Wayne?'

Zoopla, sponsors of West Brom, who conducted the stunt, actually have bad news for the striker. Property prices around Chelsea are on the rise with 'prime property' averaging at £1.7 million, compared to Rooney's town of Prestbury in Cheshire - an average of £640,000.

Still, you imagine Rooney would be able to afford it.

Will Rooney persist in pushing for a move? What do you think?
