Luis Suarez has intimated to press in his homeland, a desire to remain a Liverpool player for the foreseeable future. The striker was recently stating his unequivocal desire to leave Anfield in pursuit of Champions League football. However, he is reportedly set to change his mind after the support he has recently received from the Liverpool faithful.
It would be a dramatic U-turn – and leave The Gunners seeking alternatives, something they are apparently already doing.
Arsene Wenger is reported to be eyeing up a potential swoop for Swansea City star Michu and Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko.
Neither are reportedly for sale but as Arsenal continue to miss out on their reported targets, they could be prepared to overpay to bring in the players.
One player who won’t be signing for Arsenal is Sebastian Perez. The young Colombian midfielder was on trial with the club, even featuring against Manchester City in a pre-season friendly.
However, his parent club Atletico Nacional have confirmed that a deal is off – with fears over a Work Permit the apparent cause.
Hull City are on the verge of completing a double swoop on Tottenham Hotspur. It is believed that a £5 million deal will see both Jack Livermore arrive on loan for the season and Tom Huddelstone on a permanent contract.
The pair will discuss personal terms and potentially undergo a medical in the next 24 hours.
Wayne Rooney will not be sold by Manchester United this summer. It is believed that a decision has been made that regardless of price the England international will not be sold – leaving Chelsea in the cold in their striker hunt.
Fulham and QPR are set to do battle over Scott Parker. The imminent signing of Etienne Capoue is said to spell the end of the combative midfielders time at White Hart Lane – however he is believed to crave a London stay.
Liverpool are chasing Willian of Anzhi Makhachkala, according to several sources. The Brazilian has been transfer listed by the Russian Club as they aim to sell some of their biggest assets in a massive reshuffle of tactics at the club.
Finally, and Roberto Martinez has confirmed that there have been no fresh bids for Leighton Baines since Manchester United made their original enquiry in June.
The left-back is believed to be integral to Martinez’s new Everton formation and he is reluctant to let him go.
