However, his parent club Atletico Nacional have confirmed that a deal is off – with fears over a Work Permit the apparent cause.

Hull City are on the verge of completing a double swoop on Tottenham Hotspur. It is believed that a £5 million deal will see both Jack Livermore arrive on loan for the season and Tom Huddelstone on a permanent contract.

The pair will discuss personal terms and potentially undergo a medical in the next 24 hours.

Wayne Rooney will not be sold by Manchester United this summer. It is believed that a decision has been made that regardless of price the England international will not be sold – leaving Chelsea in the cold in their striker hunt.

Fulham and QPR are set to do battle over Scott Parker. The imminent signing of Etienne Capoue is said to spell the end of the combative midfielders time at White Hart Lane – however he is believed to crave a London stay.

Liverpool are chasing Willian of Anzhi Makhachkala, according to several sources. The Brazilian has been transfer listed by the Russian Club as they aim to sell some of their biggest assets in a massive reshuffle of tactics at the club.
