Tottenham Hotspur latest: Including Lamela, Osvaldo, + midfielder firesale

All the latest news and gossip relating to Tottenham Hotpsur.

Tottenham have agreed the sale of midfielder Tom Huddlestone to newly promoted Hull City. Huddlestone made more than 200 appearances for the club but his career was derailed by injury, and he has failed to establish himself since.

A deal which will see teammate Jake Livermore spend the season on loan at the Tigers is also poised to be agreed, with Hull paying a little over £5 million for the double deal.

Another midfielder reportedly heading out is Scott Parker, with it claimed today by Sky Sports that QPR have had a bid accepted by Tottenham. However the R's are said to be wary of Fulham's interest in the midfielder, fully aware Parker may prefer to remain in the Premier League.

In incoming transfer news, Spurs technical director Franco Baldini could be eyeing a double swoop on his former club Roma.

Roma's top brass are said to be in London to discuss a potential deal, and while the exact nature of the meeting is yet to be officially divulged, the Italian media claim the signings of winger Erik Lamela and striker Osvaldo are on the agenda.

The Star claim Spurs are in 'preliminary talks' over signing Toby Alderweireld from Ajax. The defender is a former teammate of Jan Vertonghen at Ajax and presently with Belgium. Russian side Spartak Moscow are also keen on the centre-back.

With Spurs spending spree believed not to be over just yet, Nick Harris takes a look at five young strikers the club could target who could play second fiddle to record signing Roberto Soldado.

We also take a look at whether Daniel Levy will cave at the last minute and cash in on Gareth Bale. One report claimed overnight that Bale had told friends he would 'never play for Spurs again.'
