Scotsman David Moyes would no doubt have loved to head into training with Manchester United on Thursday morning and lord it over his England internationals had Scotland won at Wembley.
But despite an impressive showing, Scotland could not hang onto either of their leads, losing 3-2 to England.
Poor David Moyes had to get through a pre-arranged bit of punditry for ITV, and probably was crossing his fingers Wayne Rooney would not bag a hat-trick and leave him answering a number of awkward questions.
One Manchester United striker did find the net though, Danny Welbeck heading a crucial and excellent second half equaliser for England, stopping Scotland's momentum in it's tracks.
Welbeck went onto be voted England's Man of the Match, even if a watching Joey Barton did not agree.
Post-match in the ITV studio, Moyes lightened the atmosphere, sitting next to the always outspoken Manchester United legend Roy Keane, by cracking a joke regarding his Scottish allegiance.
"Danny Welbeck won't be invited back to training tomorrow, that's for sure!"
He did go onto praise the striker, adding: "I think for Danny, he got his goal tonight and showed what he was capable of."
And then it was back to answering more Wayne Rooney questions, or dodging them. It never stops...
