Nemanja Matic has won many admirers since establishing himself in Portugal, having been offloaded to Benfica by Chelsea as part of the David Luiz deal in 2011.
And it has been frequently claimed this summer that Chelsea themselves are head of the queue, with Jose Mourinho a fan of the central midfielder nicknamed the 'spider'.
Benfica though drive a hard bargain, and they refuse to deal below his release clause of €30 million, which is believed to have put Chelsea off buying the midfielder back, despite his reported keenness to finally play in the Premier League.
But one man believes Matic would be a snip at that price, his Serbian compatriot Mateja Kezman, who claims the midfielder is worth even more.
Speaking to Portuguese newspaper A Bola he said:
"If Bale is worth 100 million euro, then Matic I must value (at) 50 or more. There are few like him. Has great technical quality and has a chance to shine in one of the biggest leagues in Europe."
A glowing endorsement, and one which Matic will no doubt appreciate. The more he is talked up, and continues to perform, the more chance there is of a club coming into pay his release fee and bring him in.
Kezman played for Chelsea between 2004/05 under Jose Mourinho, but failed to replicate his stunning PSV form and was sold to Atletico Madrid after just one season.
He is now retired, having ended his career with a spell at BATE Borisov in Belarus over a year ago.
Chelsea fans would you want to sign Matic? Or is his €30 million fee too much despite Kezman's claims?
