With the Premier League season just one week away, 13 of our football pundits have put their heads together to give you a comprehensive set of predictions.
Each pundit predicted where each Premier League club will finish the season, with 20 points for the club predicted to finish 1st, down to 1 point for the club finishing bottom.
We then added up all the points and:
Verdict - Manchester United will finish in 3rd
Highest prediction: 2nd, Lowest prediction: 3rd
Gareth McKnight: 2nd - United will be there or thereabouts, and will push Chelsea close. I think they will be beaten into second, just, and the title race could well go down to the wire.
Vincent Ralph: 2nd - Much will depend on who they sign between now and the start of September. The arrival of Cesc Fabregas could define more than just a single season, while a return for Cristiano Ronaldo would see them one place higher in my predictions. But without that stardust, I can’t see them finishing above a City side that looks to have it all.
Ian Bolland: 3rd - With no notable additions, you’d expect Manchester City and Chelsea will be too strong for them over the course of the season.
Dan Coombs: 3rd - Manchester United have the squad to win the league, but do they have the manager ? Concerns have long been raised about their midfield, and nothing has yet been done to address this. David Moyes will have his hands full adjusting and tempering expectations.
Vic Daniels: 3rd - Third, but a long way off the pace. Van Persie will not be as strong this season, and Rooney will either have a cob on, or be sold. Expect an early exit from Europe too.
Alan Dawson: 3rd - All in all, a third place finish this season will actually be a good showing, providing the club challenges on other fronts.
Lewis Doe: 3rd - The team may lack the grit and the edge they had under Sir Alex Ferguson when it came to the big games, and that’s what I think will push them down to third.
Callum Farrell: 3rd - There has to be some kind of slump for a club which overachieved with their squad from last season. As Moyes brings through the youth and creates a new long-term team, I think this year will be fallow for United.
Nick Harris: 3rd - Moyes will take time to settle at Old Trafford, and the immense pressure he faces in succeeding Sir Alex Ferguson will tell, especially considering the relatively weak squad he has been left by his predecessor.
Jenny Leigh: 3rd - A tough start could have a long-lasting negative effect on belief and morale. I think it’ll be a real shock to the system.
Graham Morris: 3rd - I think the lack of signings and Moyes' inexperience will tell.
Mathew Nash: 3rd - A transitional year is in the offing at Manchester United. Obviously the talent available means the team will be there or thereabouts this term - but in regards to winning the league I can’t see it happening.
Where do you believe Manchester United will finish next season ?
