Confirmed: Manchester United line-up for Community Shield against Wigan Athletic

How will David Moyes and Owen Coyle line up their teams this afternoon?

Manchester United face Wigan Athletic in the Community Shield this afternoon. David Moyes will be hoping to earn his first trophy as United gaffer - in his first official game as the boss at Old Trafford.

The game at Wembley is a 14:00 kick off and both managers are new to their job. Owen Coyle has however had an easier time of it since taking over at Wigan.

He has led them to a solid start in the Championship and brought in excellent new signings.

Wigan have to decide whether to give one of those new men a debut today. They only signed James McClean from Sunderland a few days ago - but his is in the travelling party.

Moyes also had some selection dilemmas. They are without Wayne Rooney, Nani and Ashley Young through injury. But he needs to consider who gets the nod today, and whether impressive pre-season youngsters Adnan Januzaj, Wilfried Zaha and Jesse Lingard have done enough to feature.

Manchester United: De Gea, Rafael, Vidic, Jones, Evra, Giggs, Carrick, Cleverley, Zaha, van Persie, Welbeck.

Subs: Lindegaard, Evans, Anderson, Smalling, Valencia, Kagawa, Januzaj

Wigan Athletic: Carson, Boyce, Barnett, Perch, Crainey, Watson, McArthur, McCarthy, McClean, Holt, Maloney.

Subs: Nicholls, Gomez, Espinoza, McCann, McManaman, Fortune, Dicko
