Highest prediction: 16th / Lowest prediction: 20th

2013/14 Premier League final table predictions

Jamie Allen: 16th - A decent first campaign back in the Premier League, Bruce has built an effective squad at Hull.

Ian Bolland: 17th - Experienced manager in the Premier League with a point to prove, would not surprise anyone by staying up by the skin of their teeth.

Dan Coombs: 17th - Steve Bruce will not want his chance of redemption in the top flight to be wasted, but will have his work cut out with Hull. It will be a slog, but the Tigers might just have a final day miracle.

Callum Farrell: 18th - They’ve been busy bringing in players this summer, many with Premier League experience, but not of winning. Steve Bruce’s team don’t have anything special about them that will keep them in the division, and they will struggle through most of the season.

Vincent Ralph: 18th - Watching the Tigers last season was a breath of fresh air, as they played their way out of the Championship with aplomb. I want them to survive, and yet I fear they may fall just short. It will be fun watching Steve Bruce’s side, and in Yannick Sagbo, Danny Graham and Sone Aluko, they have one of the most exciting front-lines in the division. But I don’t think it will quite be enough.

Vic Daniels: 19th -  Their last stint in the Premier League lasted 2 seasons; this one will be shorter. Sorry, Steve, but your squad just won't be good enough

Graham Morris: 19th - Someone needs to finish 19th; come in Hull City.

Mathew Nash: 19th - I was shocked that The Tigers were promoted, and I would be even more shocked if they managed to stay in the Premier League. I just don't think they have the quality to survive at this level.

Key player: Yannick Sagbo

Alan Dawson: 20th - Hull City just might be one of those yo-yo teams… too good for the division below, not good enough for the one above.

Lewis Doe: 20th - Hull have made a lot of changes from the squad which got them promoted to the Premier League last season. However, the challenge may just be a little too much over the course of a long and intense season.

Nick Harris: 20th - Steve Bruce’s side were impressive in steamrolling their way into the automatic promotion spots in the second half of last season, but they are short of quality players, and will most likely go straight back down this year.

Jenny Leigh: 20th - I can’t see how, where or why Hull are going to be able to compete. In reality, they just don’t have the quality, resources or experience to do right by Steve Bruce. I imagine it’ll feel like wading through treacle for the Tigers, I’m sorry to say.

Gareth McKnight: 20th - On paper the worst team in the division, and I think they will be sent straight back to the Championship.
