Arsenal have beaten Manchester City 3-1 this weekend.
Goals from Theo Walcott, Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud were enough to beat the 2012 Premier League champions - despite a late consolation for City from new signing Alvaro Negredo.
Arsenal trialist Sebastian Perez featured in the game - and we asked you Gunners fans what you made of his performance on the site.
Carl Jenkinson also experienced an interesting day. The game in Helsinki represented a return to his mother homeland for the England international - and he received a hero’s welcome when entering the fray.
Arsenal will reportedly go back in for Wayne Rooney after Liverpool refused to budge on Luis Suarez’s availability.
Manchester United are said to be more receptive to the idea of Rooney joining the Gunners then the other interested party Chelsea.
It comes as Luis Suarez is told to apologise to his team-mates if he wants to train with the first-team again - as this transfer saga continues to rumble on into another week.
‘’Luis Suarez is too good for Liverpool. He is one of the top players in the world, whereas Liverpool were only the seventh best team in England last season.
His Luis Suarez is also too good for Arsenal. In recent years, they haven’t challenged for trophies; they have not made an impact in the Champions League and they are no closer to winning the Premier League.’’
Arsenal appear to be getting closer to snapping up Luiz Gustavo from Bayern Munich. The Brazilian international has been the subject of a £14 million bid from an unnamed side this weekend, believed to be the Gunners.
Gustavo wants a move to be assured of his starting place in the Brazilian side.
Arsenal are said to be in the hunt for Dutch sensation Jeroen Lumu - but face competition from Manchester United.
The 18-year-old winger is currently with Eredivisie outfit Willem II.
The Gunners are also said to be in pole position to snap up Geoffrey Kondogbia from Sevilla. The Frenchman recently received his first senior call up to Les Bleus - and has a release clause of around £8.7 million.
