How did the Colombian far in the 3-1 win against Manchester City?
Arsenal took on Manchester City in a marquee pre-season friendly this afternoon in Helsinki, Finland - and came away with the bragging rights.
Goals from Theo Walcott, Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud were enough to beat the 2012 Premier League champions - despite a late consolation for City from new signing Alvaro Negredo.
For Gunners fans it is an excellent and timely confidence boost ahead of the new season - and a good distraction from their toils in the transfer market.
With the transfer market in mind - there was a player featuring for Arsenal who might just be a new arrival this summer.
Because Arsene Wenger has obviously been impressed with a young trialist who has been at Arsenal this week - Sebastian Perez got a run-out for the last 20 minutes of the game.
The 20-year-old is currently with Atletico Nacional, and the young Colombian is highly touted as one of the best young talents in his country.
So how did he do?
Well upon his arrival we knew a few things about his game.
First of all that he was a tidy player. He is decent with the ball in possession and always picks the easy option, not dissimilar in style to West Bromwich Albion’s excellent summer signing of 2012 Claudio Yacob.
We also knew that he is something of a hothead. Already, at the tender age of 20, he has been sent off twice in his career.
And it was those attributes that shone through in Finland. He was quiet, unassuming but seemingly reliable on the ball.
But his reckless streak continued with a yellow card, the Colombian clattering in to David Silva.
Fans were of the similar position as me, reasonably impressed but not exactly blown away.
Some reports have even suggested a deal to sign Perez is now done - but I am not sure if he showed enough to be an Arsenal player.
He is a talented player, but compared to someone like Gedion Zelalem you wonder why they would sign a 20-year-old when they have a kid just as good if not better than him.
So, in my opinion, Arsenal should say thanks, but no thanks, to Perez.
No matter how much he looks the part in the headband that got Arsenal fans chatting.
What did you think of Perez? Sign him up or consider other options?

Sebastian Perez looked comfortable on the ball. But all he really accomplished was a yellow card.— GoonRambler (@GoonRambler) August 10, 2013
Sebastián Pérez looked quite good, if a little bit inexperienced. Neat on the ball, plays things simple. I like him.— Llew Davies (@LlewAFC) August 10, 2013
Aside from some nice touches, I only have an opinion on Sebastian Perez's headband. The team needs that look. Sign him up, Arsene.— Nutmeg Radio (@NutmegRadio) August 10, 2013
