Chelsea transfer news: Blues ready third Rooney bid, move for 'new Neymar' is on

A round up of the latest transfer news stories about Chelsea.

Chelsea are reportedly preparing a third bid for Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney.

The Blues have already seen offers of £25 million and £30 million turned down by the Premier League champions, as United stand firm in their view that Rooney is not for sale.

Rooney has started to recover from a recent injury, training with United’s reserve team which may only further his desire to move away from Old Trafford and start a new adventure.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are one of the sides being strongly linked with 17-year-old Brazilian Victor Andrade, described as the ‘new Neymar’.

His current club Santos are yet to tie him down to a long term deal, which means there is opportunity for his suitors to do a big deal for the teenager.

Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool and Newcastle United are among the other sides thought to be interested in the talented striker and winger.

Jose Mourinho has told Barcelona to stop wasting their time trying to sign David Luiz.

Barcelona have already seen a bid for the defender knocked back as they seek defensive reinforcements ahead of the new season.

“It's lost time for them. My advice to them is to go to the second player on their list because they are wasting their time. We don't want to lose our best players. No chance,” said Mourinho in the Telegraph.
