Transfer news involving Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, QPR, Aston Villa, Manchester United and Shakhtar Donetsk's signing of Bernard.
Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool have missed out on transfer target Bernard - after the Brazilian international put pen-to-paper on a switch to Ukrainian outfit Shakhtar Donetsk.
Shakhtar agreed a fee with Atletico Mineiro last week and he flew out to Ukraine yesterday - stopping in London along the way.
He has penned a five-year deal at the club.
Park Ji-Sung has left QPR on a season-long loan deal to PSV Eindhoven. The former Manchester United star has returned to his old club after struggling to make an impact during his time at Loftus Road.
His move is dependent on a Dutch Work Permit being awarded.
QPR meanwhile are in contact with Harry Redknapp’s former club Tottenham Hotspur over the availability of striker Jermain Defoe.
However Redknapp admitted they are a long way off any deal for the player:
"We're nowhere near anything. There is a small chance of it happening."
The French international was recently the subject of a successful bid from Cardiff City but it appears that he is on his way to White Hart Lane.
A deal could be concluded by the weekend.
Cesc Fabregas is going nowhere.
His manager Tata Martino has confirmed he will stay for the upcoming season and he is expected to announce that decision himself at a press conference later today.
Manchester United are however being rumoured with a joint £30 million bid for Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines. David Moyes is turning his hand to his old club after failing in bids for several players this summer.
Aston Villa’s reported bid of £10 million for Hiroshi Kiyotake is set to fall on deaf ears. German outfit Nuremburg will reject all offers for the Japanese international midfielder this summer.
Finally, and Manchester United have reportedly highlighted Luis Muriel of Udinese as the perfect signing should Wayne Rooney leave the club this summer.
The Colombian is reportedly a favourite of Moyes’.
