European transfer talk: Featuring Postiga, Honda and Gourcuff

Transfer news from the continent including targets for Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Everton, Southampton and a few familiar faces.

Bernard has joined Shakhtar Donetsk for a fee believed to be in the region of £21.5 million. The Brazilian international has agreed a five-year-deal with the Ukrainian side after other interested parties such as Porto, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur failed to back up their reported interest.

AC Milan have reportedly given up hope of signing CSKA Moscow attacking midfielder Keisuke Honda … for now.

The club had hoped to sign the Japanese international now, rather than have to wait until his contract expires in January.

However that now does not look possible, according to Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani:

“Has Honda almost vanished? I think so, with the last telephone call. The CSKA President has told me that he won’t sell.’’

Reported Tottenham target Rolando is set to join Inter Milan.

The FC Porto defender played under new Inter manager Walter Mazzarri on loan at Napoli last season.

He is expected in Milan on Friday to conduct his medical and will then sign a loan-deal at the club until the end of the season.

Just a few days after it was believed a deal was off Helder Postiga has completed a transfer U-turn - by signing for Valencia.

It seems that Real Zaragoza agreed to compromise on the asking price for the player as the Portuguese striker now signs a deal believed to be in the region of €3 million.

He has signed a two-year deal at the Mestalla.

Anzhi Makhachkala only signed Alexander Kokorin this summer - but he will now return to Dynamo Moscow for nothing.

It is believed that Dynamo are ready to reimburse Anzhi for the sale of Kokorin - a fee in the region of €19 million.

It comes amid growing shifts at Anzhi - who are now set to sell most if not all of their foreign or not locally based players this summer.

Staying with Anzhi and it appears that Lacina Traore will also be going out the exit door. He is expected to join Spartak Moscow.

Lisandro Lopez has left Lyon. The Argentine has signed for Al-Gharafa in Qatar. And he could be followed by Yoann Gourcuff.

The French international is said to be insistent on playing regular football next campaign and that could see him switch to Lorient or Rennes.
