Raul Meireles spent just two seasons in English football but he will be fondly remembered by fans of both Liverpool and Chelsea where he impressed despite his fleeting stay.
After helping Chelsea win the Champions League in 2012, he was sold to Turkish side Fenerbahce, last season's Europa League semi-finalists.
The 30-year-old had an interesting season in Turkey to say the least, handed a suspension midway through the campaign accused of spitting at and making homophobic remarks to a referee, accusations he denied.
He has at least got this year off to a cracker, scoring a terrific volley against Salzburg in Fenerbahce's Champions League qualifier; which they won 3-1.
