Transfer news from Newcastle United, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace.
Newcastle United will have Loic Remy undergoing a medical at the club today. The French international will then complete a loan deal from QPR for the season depending on the results of his medical.
A deal is far from complete - as in the past the striker has failed medical examinations over concerns of an underlying heart condition - however it is considered manageable and not life-threatening so he should complete a deal to the Toon in the coming days.
Manchester United have rejected a second bid for wantaway striker Wayne Rooney. The bid, said to be in the region of £30 million, has fallen on deaf ears at Old Trafford - as United continue to insist that he is not for sale:
‘’A bid was received yesterday and immediately rejected. Our position remains that he is not for sale’’ said a United spokesman.
Cristiano Ronaldo has not agreed any new deal with Real Madrid - contrary to popular belief.
It was reported in Spain yesterday that the Portuguese had agreed a new five-year deal but he denied that any deal was done - but maintained he is happy at the Bernabeu.
The latest on the Gareth Bale pursuit now - and Tottenham appear insistent on any deal containing young Spanish striker Alvaro Morata. They want the European Under-21 Championship top-scorer to come to White Hart Lane as part of any deal.
It is reported that Arsenal are on the verge of signing 19-year-old German Matthias Ginter from SC Freiburg. The talented teen, who can play in both the central of defence and midfield, is said to be on the verge of a £6 million move.
The 29-year-old is well behind Christian Benteke in the Aston Villa pecking order and Paul Lambert is keen to remove his wages from the bill this summer. Fulham and Newcastle United are also said to be keen on his services.
Both Liverpool and Arsenal are said to be in the hunt for MK Dons 17-year-old monster Delle Ali. Both clubs want the 6ft 2ins attacking midfielder, compared to Marouane Fellaini, to join their youth teams - although they could loan him back to the Stadium:MK.
Finally, and you were probably wondering when I was going to mention Luis Suarez. Brendan Rodgers has today accused Arsenal of lacking class in regards to their £40m-plus-a-£1 bid for the Uruguayan.
