Old Lady's Executive Director is said to be willing to wait on Nemanja Vidic…
One of the most reliable defenders in Europe in the late 2000s, Vidic, 31, compiled a healthy highlight-reel of interceptions, tackles and aerial tussles set against a trophy cabinet backdrop that includes five Premier League winners medals and a Champions League title.
However, while the Vidic of late still has a lot to offer - particularly as a leader of men - he has been plagued by knee complaints.
That has not perturbed Juventus, though, who will be monitoring the player's contract situation carefully over the next few weeks (Vidic only has one year left to run on his current Old Trafford deal) and may even elect to wait until next summer in order to lure the defender to Turin on a free transfer.
Vidic, meanwhile, has been named as part of the squad who will travel to Sweden for the final pre-season tour match. United take on AIK Fotboll on August 6.
