Diego Costa wants to join Liverpool according to several Spanish press sources.
The 24-year-old Atletico Madrid striker is thought to prefer a move to the Premier League, reportedly already rejecting offers from Serie A sides Roma and Fiorentina. Atletico Madrid are thought to value him at €25 million.
Liverpool appear to be in pole position to get the Brazilian forward, with some sources saying they will offer to treble his wages to around the £45,000 per week mark.
Liverpool are looking to bring in Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo on loan for the new season.
The 19-year-old has been given a five-year work permit by the Home Office, with Chelsea keen for him to go on loan and gain extra first team experience.
He’s a versatile defender, which could explain Liverpool’s interest, able to play on the right side of central defence or as a right full back.
Liverpool will have to pay €7 million to sign Diego Capel from Sporting Lisbon.
The 25-year-old midfielder has been suggested as a transfer target for Liverpool throughout the summer as Brendan Rodgers looks to add one more attacking recruit to his squad.
Marseille have already seen two bids for the player turned down, which were roughly half of the fee Sporting Lisbon are thought to be holding out for.
