Chelsea transfer news: Second Rooney bid this week, reported price set for David Luiz

A round up of the latest transfer stories to do with Chelsea.

Chelsea could table a second offer for Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney this week.

The Blues have already had one offer for the striker turned down and reports are suggesting a second will be triggered when the player hands in a transfer request.

Manchester United have always maintained their official stance that the player is not for sale though their willingness to do a deal could be force if Rooney submits a request to leave the club.

Chelsea have reportedly put a price of £45 million on the head of Brazilian defender David Luiz.

Barcelona seem ready to step up their interest in the centre back following confirmation from Pep Guardiola that Bayern Munich will not be making a bid for him.

David Luiz has been linked with a move away from Chelsea throughout the summer despite Jose Mourinho’s insistence he will stay at the club ahead of the new season.

Chelsea are on red alert after 17-year-old wonder kid Victor Andrade admitted that he wants to play in Europe.

Chelsea are one of several big sides that have been linked as following the future of the Brazilian, although there is no direct sign of their interest at the moment.

Andrade is a centre forward who shows great versatility to also play down the right wing and he can also play an attacking midfield role.
