The striker is apparently considering legal action, taking his case to the Premier League arbitration panel and putting in a transfer request in order to move push through a move to Arsenal.
Suarez believes Liverpool have broken promises to him about what would happen if Liverpool missed out on Champions League football, when he thought he wold be allowed to leave if a £35million bid came in from a side in Europe’s premier club competition.
Arsenal, who find out who they will face in the Champions League play-off round on Friday, have already had two bids for Suarez turned down, and are ready to continue their pursuit of the Uruguayan until the end of the transfer window.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers believed Arsenal’s latest bid, of £40million plus one pound, was provocative.
“I was surprised,” said Rodgers. “I’ve got to say I’ve always associated Arsenal as a club with class and so there was a wee bit of a game there. For us, it’s about moving on and doing our own work."
Arsene Wenger has confirmed that both Marouane Chamakh and Gervinho are likely to leave the club this week.
Gervinho is set to join Serie A side Roma for around £8million, where he will link up with manager Rudi Garcia, who he worked under at Lille, whilst Chamakh will move on loan to Premier League newcomers Crystal Palace for six months.
Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in signing MK Dons youngster Dele Alli, with both Premier League clubs sending scouts to watch him against Shrewsbury at the weekend.
The towering 17-year-old midfielder could be loaned back to MK Dons after a move, where he is likely to be part of the first team this season. Alli has already played seven times for the England Under-17 side, and is rated as one of the most exciting young players in League One.
