Arsenal latest: Including Vadillo and Ginter deal 'is nonsense'

Barcelona V Betis

News and gossip from the past 24 hours at The Emirates.

Brendan Rodgers has criticised Arsenal for having a lack of class in regards to the clubs recent £40m-plus-a-pound bid for Luis Suarez:

‘’I was surprised. I’ve got to say I’ve always associated Arsenal as a club with class and so there was a wee bit of a game there. For us, it’s about moving on and doing our own work. Obviously, they have an interest and they put that interest in with two bids which were nowhere near what the player is worth. That’s within their right. There is a market in football for players, but from us the message is constant: we do not want to sell. There will come a point where they understand that.’’

Arsenal are in a reported battle with North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur for the services of a Spanish player dubbed - the ‘New Ronaldo’.

Alvaro Vadillo is currently at Real Betis and the 18-year-old has been highlighted as a future star of Spanish football.

From the ‘new Ronaldo’ to the ‘Arabian Messi’ and Arsenal reportedly have launched a bid to bring in Omar Abdulrahman on trial from Al-Ain.

The talented attacking midfielder is being touted with moves to teams across Europe this summer - but Arsenal’s links with Emirates could help them snap up the player.

SC Freiburg have slammed transfer talk suggesting their starlet Matthias Ginter is on his way to The Emirates. It was reported this morning that a £6 million deal for the German youngster but the Bundesliga club have quashed that suggestion:

‘’There have been no offers for Matthias, and to suggest we have agreed a fee, as mentioned, is nonsense. The fact of the matter is, we have no thoughts about selling him.’’

Arsenal have reportedly made a shock bid for Romanian striker Ciprian Marica. The striker was released by Schalke 04 this summer and his agent has stated a deal to bring him to Arsenal is ‘close’ in a Romanian newspaper.
