Open letter to Wayne Rooney: Do not expect good reaction from United faithful

The star of Manchester United and England striker Rooney certainly seems to be on the Wayne. And fans will let him know that in upcoming fixtures.

I read recently that Wayne Rooney is to gauge the fans reaction in his next two games for Manchester United.

If the reaction is good he will stay, if not, he will go.

Well Mr Rooney, this may come as a surprise to you but, the reaction will not be good

The reason for this is very simple. This is the second time he has "asked for a transfer". The first time United caved in and gave him a very lucrative contract, after being accused of lacking ambition. This, in my opinion, was a mistake. He should have gone then.

The least he could have done was buckled down and showed that he intended to repay the good faith shown in him.

He has now thrown his toys out of the pram again. He is not the star of the show that he thinks he is and he has EVERYTHING to prove. At Manchester United every player has to prove himself every season. It is ridiculous to say he has nothing to prove.

To expect a good reaction from the fans after his recent shenanigans is a bit like hoping there will be a power cut when the switch on the electric chair is thrown.
