Warner Bros. has announced that free-to-play expert Turbine is working on a online battle arena game, in the same vein of League of Legends, based on DC comics called Infinite Crisis.

Set across the entire DC universe of characters, the title will be free-to-play, much like Turbine's popular MMO Lords of the Rings Online, and will be released later this year for PC.

“Infinite Crisis brings the DC Multiverse to life like never before through explosively destructive arena combat featuring an ever-expanding roster of DC heroes and villains,” commented executive producer Jeffrey Steefel.

“Continuing a long-standing tradition at Turbine, we’re offering unique pricing and benefits to early adopters for a limited time.”

The company has set up a website for those hoping to try out Infinite Crisis while its in beta, additionally, those certain that they want a piece of the action can put down $14.99 now for the Founders Program, which grants early access and excluive goodies.
