If Reds step in the ring, Roberto Martinez's transfer plans may receive a KO.
Liverpool are becoming increasingly attracted to the prospect of signing left back Guilherme Siqueira, an uncapped Brazilian of La Liga side Granada, according to reports in the Daily Star, who suggest a 'starting price' of at least £8m will be required in order for the Spanish club to allow any bidder enter talks with the player.
Siqueira is currently hot property as the defender is also on Everton's shortlist. New Toffees manager Roberto Martinez has earmarked the 6 foot tall 27-year-old as a target should unsettled full back Leighton Baines be sold this summer.
However, if Liverpool formally enter the race for Siqueira's signature then that is expected to quash any hopes Everton had on capturing him.
Liverpool's pursuit, though, may too be made in vain as Real Madrid and Galatasaray are also said to be monitoring the situation. Valencia, however, have already had one offer knocked back but Siqueira has publicly pleaded that, should another big European club bid for him then he should be allowed to pursue his dream of taking his career to the next level.
Siqueira is under contract for another four years at the Andalusian club and has a release clause of £21m.
