Arshavin seemed pleased when he got his move back to Zenit St Petersburg from Arsenal after warming the bench under Arsene Wenger but that initial optimism could now be tainted after a poor example of how not to behave on a football field.
In his home return he was playing in the Russian Premier League against Kuban Krasnodar, which ended 1-1, and he also grabbed his first goal since returning to his boyhood club. But he also seems to have taken a bit of that physical English mentality back to Russia with him, throwing a punch at Kuban goalkeeper Aleksandr Belenov.
Arshavin raced into the box looking to get on the end of a loose ball, but was very, very, very late with his challenge on Belenov and was extremely lucky only to be given a telling off for the incident.
It's a remarkable challenge considering he's such a small guy and seemed like such a calm and mellow figure whenever he appeared in front of the English media during his time at Arsenal.
Take a look for yourself.
