European transfer talk: Featuring Bernard, Gomis and Salvio

News now on Bernard as things get confusing in this transfer saga. The Brazilian has been linked heavily with Premier League clubs such as Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool this summer but recently it was intimated that FC Porto was his first choice.

However his club Atletico Mineiro have confirmed that the only team to meet his current asking price - has been Ukrainian outfit Shakhtar Donetsk. Bernard is viewed as the perfect replacement for Borussia Dortmund’s new signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Genoa are interested in snapping up AC Milan’s French striker M’ Baye Niang on a season-long loan deal. The 18-year-old joined the Rossoneri after a protracted transfer saga last summer.

However his stint with the club has been tinged with controversy and he failed to score a goal for the club.

Fabio Quagliarella is now being linked with a move to Valencia. The Juventus and Italy striker has been placed on the transfer list in Turin and has been linked with several different deals in recent days.

However Valencia reportedly view him as the perfect replacement for Roberto Soldado - who is expected to leave the Mestalla by tomorrow.

Benfica forward Eduardo Salvio is now expected to join PSG this summer. The Argentine has been linked with several different clubs this summer - but the French champions are reportedly set to offer €32 million for the former Atletico Madrid player.

Real Madrid keeper Adan is all set to join Sporting Lisbon. The Portuguese outfit are preparing to sell Rui Patricio and see the 26-year-old Spaniard as a cost-effective option at Real Madrid.

Newcastle United target Bafetimbi Gomis is now being targeted by Marseille. A deal to join the Toon has hit a stumbling block and the Stade Velodrome outfit are now prepared to make a move for the powerful striker.

It is even reported a swap deal with Andre-Pierre Gignac could be on the cards.
