Chelsea transfer news: Guardiola rules out Luiz move, Torres back to Spain

A round up of the latest transfer stories connected to Chelsea.

Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has dismissed recent reports of a potential bid for David Luiz.

The German champions were thought to be preparing a £40 million offer to sign the Brazilian but Guardiola has ruled it out, suggesting he’s happy with what he has.

“David Luiz won't come to Munich. I have four, five central defenders, and I am happy with them. There is no truth to the speculation,” he said.

Fernando Torres could be offered a way back into Spanish football with Valencia.

The La Liga side are reportedly planning to go after Torres as a replacement for Roberto Soldado who now looks set for a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

However, the financial problems at the Spanish club could make any deal difficult with Valencia unlikely to stretch their budget if Chelsea demand a top end price for the forward who has struggled since he moved to the club.

Inter Milan are close to agreeing a deal with Chelsea for talented young defender Wallace.

Wallace impressed during Chelsea’s pre-season tour of Asia but with competition so strong at full back in the squad, Jose Mourinho thinks it’s better for the youngster to go and get first team football elsewhere.

The 19-year-old is on a huge contract at Stamford Bridge, which doesn’t expire until the summer of 2018.
