The headline should have read "Are Liverpool still actually a big club ?" Which as we all know is simply 'NO'. Just a mid-table run of the mill club that was never any bigger than say Wolves mid 50's and will probably end up going the same way.
Players dont care about the history of clubs (look at the players joining PSG and Monaco). It's who can offer them the biggest pay packet and the biggest stage to play on that matters, in this case it is Arsenal who would be the more attractive club to a player.
I've been to 2 CL finals (seeing us win the European cup for the 5th time in the process) since Arsenal last won a trophy! Form is temporary, class is permanent. Lfc are much much bigger. There is no argument on this issue.
What a load of cobblers, globally Liverpool dwarf Arsenal. I dont know what stats Tappo has been reading but to claim Arsenal have more fans than Liverpool is laughable.
Arsenal have built a bigger stadium to accommodate 60,000 people but embarrassingly can't fill it. When did Arsenal sell out a 95,000 seater stadium on the other side of the world like Liverpool did last week in Australia?
Arsenal more fans than Liverpool? Funny.
As a United fan disposed to disliking Liverpool, I really hate to acknowledge anything positive about the dippers but in terms of size, Liverpool are a still much bigger club, they have lost a lot of shine of course, but even their old reputation still exceeds anything that Arsenal have ever achieved or are achieving. Arsenal have a long way to go yet to before they can seriously say they can match that lot.
My dad is bigger than your dad.
Unfortunately...Liverpool fans believe their dad is still as fit as he was in the Eighties....not the crippled old man he is today...
And Arsenal's dad has always been a bit of a wimp.
