Arsenal latest: Including Gamez and Higuain the pick of Emirates Cup

Higuain Goal

News and gossip from the past 24 hours at The Emirates.

Arsenal are reportedly in talks with Malaga - talks that could finally prove Nicklas Bendtner does have his uses after all.

The Dane is wanted by the Spanish outfit and Arsenal are keen on him leaving the club this summer after two years out on loan.

But Malaga are not blessed with cash and just like previous interested party Eintracht Frankfurt, are struggling to get the money together for a deal.

So instead The Anchovies are suggesting that the teams captain Jesus Gamez goes in the opposite direction. The right-back has previously been linked with Swansea City and Cardiff City this summer.

Arsenal have found themselves embarrassed after asking the question ‘Who are you most looking forward to watching in this weekend’s Emirates Cup?’

Jack Wilshere? Yaya Sanogo? Chuba Akpom?

Nope … Gonzalo Higuain.

The Argentine was paraded as a Napoli player for the first time yesterday.

It is looking increasingly likely that the man compared to Yaya Toure by Arsene Wenger could be back out on loan next season.

Crewe Alexandra have announced that the club are back in touch with the club about taking Chuks Aneke in on loan for the 2013-14 season.

He spent last season with The Railwaymen … winning the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy at the club.

Yaya Sanogo had his first training session with the club today. The French under-20 international has signed on a free transfer from Auxerre - and is expected to feature for the first-team on occasions this season.

More reports concerning Bernard have emerged today. It is becoming increasingly clear that FC Porto are the front-runners for his signature with developments suggested to be announced this week. The Atletico Mineiro star has reportedly been talked into the move by Selecao team-mate Hulk.

Finally, and Abdisalam Ibrahim, who was linked with a move to Arsenal in May, has been released by Manchester City with one year left on his contract.
