A round up of the latest transfer stories and rumours about Chelsea.
German giants Bayern Munich are reportedly ready to offer Chelsea £40 million for defender David Luiz.
There have been various reports this summer, which have suggested the Brazilian is not viewed favourably by Jose Mourinho due to his style of play.
Bayern appear to be keen on David Luiz as a player who could sure up their defence following defeat in the Super Cup at the hands of arch rivals Borussia Dortmund.
Chelsea are interested in signing Bayern Munich midfielder Luiz Gustavo.
The holding midfielder has been linked with the West London club for the last couple of weeks, as Jose Mourinho looks for an alternative holding midfielder to John Obi Mikel.
Chelsea are thought to be ready to offer around £15 million for the player, with Gustavo facing a season of inconsistency in terms of starts and appearances.
Chelsea are reportedly chasing Roma defender Leandro Castan.
The 26-year-old broke into the team last season and reports are suggesting Chelsea will need to come up with a big money bid in order to land him, as he’s under contract with the Serie A giants until the summer of 2016.
The centre back has only made 13 appearances for Roma so far in his career and has represented Brazil twice.
