Give me the dosh and a settled team, club and fans every time.
Its actually hard to try and measure the potential fall out if we do sell Bale. Like most know, the best players want to play with other players at their level. We don't truly have any world class players other than Bale in our squad currently. Sure we have a talented squad but a couple are still a season or two from falling under that category…
Bale everytime, the intent needs to be there selling shows the wrong intent!
I think Marca and Real Madrid need to be careful because if they carry on disrupting Spurs then Levy is going to be on the phone to his lawyer. I'm also getting sick of the press regurgitating the same story day after day, it's pathetic.
If Spurs did get £100m or whatever is being quoted, it wouldn't matter. Levy won't invest a penny of that in the transfer market because he needs to fund the new stadium. Bale needs to stay, we need to sign two strikers and we need to win something AND finish in the top four next season. Levy and Lewis need to get it through their skulls that they need to invest properly to succeed…
We would be insane if we didn't take the 120 million euros. A fee of that magnitude would help fund a large portion of a new stadium. With a new stadium comes more revenue and more revenue comes better players. Bale looked great last season simply because our other strikers were inept. Buy Soldado for 30 million and use the remaining 90 million to start building the stadium.
